 AAO MEMBERSHIP

The American Association of Orthodontists is the first and most prestigious  dental association in the world. It has a mission to produce leaders in the field of orthodontics that will maximally improve the quality of life of their patients. As active members of the American Association of Orthodontists, we keep in close touch and constantly update each other on the latest techniques so that we can provide the most comfortable, healthy, and effective treatment plans for our patients.

In the United States, the American Association of Orthodontists invests a great deal of time and energy in educating the public about the difference between a dentist who has learned some basic orthodontic techniques and diagnostic skills, and an actual orthodontic specialist.  Patients seeking orthodontic care should make sure that they are comfortable with the dentist's level of training before they begin their treatment. Ask your treating dentist if they were trained in an accredited graduate orthodontic specialty program. Many dentists have taken enough continuing education courses and/or apprenticeships to be able to perform basic orthodontic treatments quite well, but each orthodontic case presents a unique challenge, so it is generally advisable to put your smile in the hands of an actual orthodontist with proper formal training. Most communities in Israel do not have a fully trained local orthodontist. There are less than fifty members of the AAO listed in Israel, and only two in the entire greater Bet Shemesh and Gush areas, and both of them are in our office. We therefore feel blessed to be able to bring the highest level of orthodontic training in the world here to our community for the benefit of our patients.
It is our fervent wish and prayer that our patients will all have many opportunities to enjoy their beautiful healthy smiles.
